The IT Services female employees have established a network aimed at all women* working in IT Services and in IT at ETH Zurich.

Women currently make up about 15% of the IT Services workforce. With the "IT-Women@ETH" network, we want to strengthen and promote the growth of this community. IT-Women@ETH will help us to connect, be visible and motivate more women to choose a career in IT Services and IT.

Our goals are

  1. To offer women at IT Services an active platform for the exchange of information and experience at personal meetings, events and workshops.
  2. Increase the visibility of ETH as an employer for women in the field of IT Services and IT through our network. At ETH Zurich there are several supporting and promotional networks for women, but none for women working in IT administration. The IT-Women@ETH network is the first of its kind. What distinguishes us is the perspective of an IT career in services as opposed to research and teaching.
  3. Motivating women to consider working in IT, especially at ETH Zurich. ETH has a highly dynamic research and study environment. In order to strengthen research, the IT Services of ETH Zurich offer a wide range of support ranging from infrastructure provision and user services to scientific IT services. Working at ETH Zurich's IT Services means facing challenging tasks in an exciting environment as part of a professional team, developing one's own skills and at the same time enjoying a family-friendly atmosphere.

The initiative comes from women of IT Services and is aimed at all women who are involved in IT at ETH and in ETH-related areas.
