General Secretariat
The Secretary General is assigned to the Executive Board with the duties of a general staff position.
The Secretary General oversees the operations of the Executive Board and the meeting of the heads of departments; she coordinates ETH Zurich’s activities in the ETH Domain (ETH Board) and at external pageswissuniversities level. The ETH Zurich Legal Office is affiliated with the General Secretariat.
Secretariat
Together with the Secretary General, the Secretariat is responsible for the preparation and follow-up of the Executive Board meetings, the Department Heads' Conferences and the meetings of the University Executive Board and the Executive Board. Furthermore, the Secretariat supports the Secretary General in administrative matters and projects. In addition, the secretariat is updating the organisation database.

Registry and interim archive of the Executive Board
The registry and interim archive is responsible for registering incoming mail for the members of the Executive Board and the interim archiving of documents according to Article 151 of the Financial Regulations of ETH Zurich or respectively the relevant regulations.
Chief Information Security Office
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for the implementation of the directive "Information Security at ETH Zurich”.

Organisational Development Project rETHink
The area of responsibility includes, in co-leadership with the Secretary General, the coordination and implementation of the proposed solutions from the rETHink project, as well as the further development of various cross-institutional implementation projects for the attention of the Executive Board.
