Application procedure

As a proof of the host institution's commitment, applications need to include the "written confirmation of the research institution", which consists of two separate letters ("detailed confirmation" and "general confirmation").  

The workflow at ETH for procuring these is as follows:

• The applicant requests the detailed confirmation letter from their Contact Person. Please consider the text blocks provided by the SNSF (external pageAmbizionecall_made) and make sure the letterhead of the hosting unit is used.
• Once the letter has been signed by both the Contact Person and the Head of Department, an electronic copy as well as the CV of the applicant have to be sent to the Grants Office at .
• The Grants Office will then have the general confirmation signed by the VPR and send it back to the applicant and/or the Contact Person.

Timeline for the next application round:

• Submit the detailed confirmation together with the CV to the Grants Office until 24 October 2023 at the latest.
• You will receive the general confirmation by the Grants Office until 31 October 2023 at the latest.
• Submit the complete application via external pagemySNFcall_made until 1 November 2023.

At the time of the first deadline, only the title of the project and all other relevant information needs to be prepared. The full proposal only has to be submitted by the last deadline.
