Advice before and during a degree programme

""

Are you interested in studying at ETH or are you already an undergraduate or Master’s student and are experiencing barriers in your studies owing to your disability?

Health impairments that may be relevant include:

  • Limited mobility
  • Visual disabilities
  • Hearing disabilities
  • Speech disabilities (such as stuttering)
  • Chronic physical illnesses (such as diabetes, multiple sclerosis, intestinal disorders)
  • Specific learning disabilities (such as AD(H)S, dyslexia)
  • Autism spectrum disorders
  • Other permanent mental impairments or serious illnesses

The list is not exhaustive.

Depending on the degree programme, any specific stage in it or an individual situation, questions may arise in connection with these disabilities.

The Advice Service is at your disposal before you submit an application for special arrangements, throughout your studies and also before possible studies at ETH.

To fix an appointment, please contact us by e-mail or phone.

Please note:

Since studying with a disability or a chronic illness often requires lengthy and forward-looking planning, contacting us early on is crucial. A meeting with the Advice Service is indispensable for the implementation of support options.

An early meeting has to be agreed upon for an application for special arrangements, in particular, since the submission of the application is subject to deadlines. Please find out about the process of special arrangements at ETH in advance.
